    has been released with binary distributions for 48 architectures.

- 2002-08-05: Experimental Multiprocessor support in -current
    
- Chuck Silvers has added experimental support for the second
    CPU in PowerMacintosh G4 and 9500/180MP systems.  Most likely this will
    add support for the second CPU in 9600/200MP and Xserve systems as well.
    To enable MP suport, add "options MULTIPROCESSOR" to your kernel
    configuration file (or use a GENERIC.MP kernel).  Note, 
    NetBSD 1.6 will not have MP support available.

- 2001-11-02: IDE problems with some newer machines running NetBSD 1.5.2
    
- It appears that there might be some issues with newer models which 
    support ATA4 devices in NetBSD 1.5.2.  There is no immediate 
    workaround, you should post to 
    port-macppc@NetBSD.org for assistance.  There are two reports of 
    the latest firmware update (4.1.9) from Apple introducing this problem 
    on a previously working system, the iMac (Summer 2000).

- 2001-04-08: Warning about Apple's 4.1.7 or 4.1.8 Firmware
    
- Apple recently released a new version of firmware for recent
    models.  There are two reports of PowerBook G4 machines being
    unable to boot NetBSD after this upgrade.  Also, many people
    are having problems with their third-party RAM.

- A NetBSD/macppc 1.4.3A snapshot based off of netbsd-1-4 sources as of
    2001-03-24 is now available in the NetBSD/macppc
    snapshot

- 2001-03-22: Improvements regarding Daystar dual 604 card
    
- Tsubai Masanari has merged his MP tree into NetBSD-current.  At this
    point, the Daystar dual 604 card (i.e. Power Macintosh 9500/180MP and
    9600/200MP) runs at least into single-user mode, possibly multi-user
    mode (not stable yet).
    
 
- 2001-03-12: Linux compatibility enabled for PowerPC ports
    
- Emmanuel Dreyfus has integrated Linux binary compatibility for
    PowerPC ports. This means that NetBSD/macppc is now able to run 
    LinuxPPC binaries such as
    Netscape Communicator.

- 2000-10-31: New Mozilla port available
    
- Charles Hannum has ported Mozilla to the PowerPC CPU type.  A
    prebuilt package for NetBSD/macppc 1.5 is available, see the mozilla
    page under the NetBSD Packages Collection.  More information on this,
    and the other CPU types that there are new Mozilla ports for, is
    available in Charles' message in the netbsd-announce
    mail archive.

    ATC attendees.

- 2000-04-29: ddb
- ddb (the kernel debugger) now has access to the kernel
    symbol table, if you boot with ofwboot.
